About Stratton Hall

Stratton Hall is Chattanooga’s most elegant and versatile event venue. Our space is located in the heart of the city, and nestled at the base of famous Lookout Mountain.

The hall was named after the owner’s daughter, Haleigh “Stratton”, who currently serves as the Stratton Hall and The Peyton Venue Director.

The vision of the owner, Dr. Jan Sherbak, was to create a conveniently located, large, and chic space where individuals could create their own special events by choosing personal designers, event planners, and caterers. The goal was to provide a space that offered different open concept areas, both indoor and outdoor so that guests are not limited by space or weather for event needs.

Stratton Hall was designed for both small and large events, and can be set up for any size or type of gathering. The elegant indoor chandeliers, combined with beautiful flooring and detailed columns create a modern and romantic feel. The exposed beams and industrial outdoor design provide a contrast for a less formal feel when needed. In the outdoor area, you will find a large arbor and surrounding greenery strung with lights. Whether hosting an outdoor wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, or when guests just want to enjoy the night air – this outdoor area is truly a key feature to our venue. The Chapel provides a gorgeous, draped wedding ceremony backdrop or an additional event space, perfect for cocktail hours and VIP receptions.

Stratton Hall is ideal for weddings, receptions, fundraisers, corporate events, luncheons, bar and bat mitzvah celebrations, proms, reunions and just may be the space that creates a reason to have a party! The owner generously offers the space at a discounted rate to ALL non-profit agencies as part of her commitment to the wonderful philanthropic Chattanooga community.

Our Space

Starting from a basic warehouse, Stratton Hall has evolved into an opulent and spacious venue that offers more than 10,000 square feet of open indoor space with 14′ exposed beam ceilings and elegant chandeliers. The interior space measures 60′ x 220′ and draping is available to customize spacing for smaller, more intimate events.

The interior also includes a commercial prep kitchen for your food and beverage vendors that includes a convection oven, a warming oven, ice maker, freezer, refrigerator, microwave, deep-well sinks and plenty of food preparation areas.

The interior space also includes a lounge area complete with an 8′ electric fireplace and white and black tufted leather seating – a perfect place for photographs or conversation.

Adjacent to the main hall, French doors open out into our newly renovated space – The Chapel. The Chapel is adorned with lush, white draping and chandeliers. This space is a breathtaking option for your wedding ceremony, or the perfect area for a VIP reception or cocktail hour.

Our exterior space also offers considerable versatility. It has a beautiful pergola strung with lighting and is complete with outdoor patio furnishings, including conversation groups and fire pits. This space can be used for beautiful outdoor wedding ceremonies under our grand tree, or for the pure enjoyment of an outdoor reception.

In addition to all of this beautiful space, Stratton Hall makes it even easier for you and your event planners. We provide you with thirty-eight 60” round (8-seat) tables and eighteen 72” round (10-seat) tables. We also provide you with up to 500 silver Chiavari chairs with white cushions. We have 8 high-top bar tables with Chiavari bar chairs that can be spread about the large space. We also include the use of 4 portable bars for drink stations or bartending needs. No other venue compares to Stratton Hall!

Owner

Dr. Jan Sherbak is a native Chattanoogan who brought vision to the large warehouse formerly known as Broadway Garden Center, turning the space into Stratton Hall, The Peyton, and The Suite on Broad. In addition to continuing to own and develop the venues, Dr. Sherbak has a private practice in Clinical Psychology. Along with her husband Steve, she enjoys traveling and visiting with their children Rachel “Peyton” and Haleigh “Stratton,” for whom the venues are named.

Venue Director

Haleigh “Stratton” Sherbak Bennett is a Chattanooga native. She graduated from Girls Preparatory School in 2005, received her Bachelor’s Degree from The University of Georgia in 2009, and her Master’s degree from Vanderbilt University in 2011. Haleigh helped design the concept and business model of Stratton Hall and The Peyton, and now works to ensure all events run successfully and smoothly. She loves how each individual client can have such different visions for their events in both venues, and she will work closely with you to make these visions come to life.

Event & Marketing Director

Kat was born and raised in Augusta, GA, and later moved to Dalton, GA. She graduated with a bachelor degree in Marketing. She discovered her passion for the Event Industry when she interned with us in Fall 2017. Shortly after Kat became our Event & Marketing Director. Kat enjoys every aspect of the planning process, from assisting clients to design their floor plans to being on-site the day of to see each event come together. She also loves to create content for our social media platforms.

Karen Hyde

Event Specialist

Karen Hyde is a graduate of Tyner High School and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She has been on the Stratton Hall & The Peyton Event Staff since March of 2014. She welcomes clients to the venues on the day of their special event, and checks in throughout the day to see if there are any needs. Karen loves to see how Stratton Hall and The Peyton can be transformed into each client’s unique vision from a beautiful wedding, a high school prom, or a special luncheon.
